On a day out in Burano Venice) I captured a series of images of the many alleyways which punctuated the main thoroughfares. Rather than just making a descriptive painting, I chose to pursue the various shapes, lights and darks of the scene. Acrylic on 50 × 50 cm on an unframed canvas.
