On a visit to Burano (Venice) i took many images of the numerous alleyways off the main highway. Each one was completely individual with its own atmosphere and colour palette. Painting them as abstracts was my choice in order to reveal the complexity of colours, shapes and shadows, which made each one totally unique. Acrylic on canvas 50 × 50 xm, unframed.
